Inyo County Marriage Records
Human interaction had always been based on relationships with each other. It is always easier to interact with those people that we know and those people with whom a connection is shared with. Relationships form through various methods, and marriage is one of those methods because after the ceremony and registration of the same, new relationships are formed in the sense that two families, formerly strangers to each other, are now family. This is one of the reasons why the government monitors marriages in the first place, and the records of this monitoring is what is known as the Inyo County Marriage Records.
Marriage Records Inyo County are public records, and this classification means that they are available to the public at all times. Note, however, that just because they are supposed to be available at all times does not mean that they would be, for there are two types of copies of marriage records, informational copies and certified copies, with the latter being limited only to those who were party to the marriage or are related to them. In general, however, the two types provide the same information; it is just that the certified copies could be used in legal processes, hence, the limitation.
Inyo County Marriage License Records may be obtained from a number of sources, but the primary office where such records could be requested from would be the office of the county recorder, the person who would have official custody of the records. To request for copies of the records at this office, the searcher would first have to decide if he or she wants to avail of the services through mail or in person. Certainly, availing of the services in person is easier and shorter, but would require the searcher to go to the office and make the request there. This method is easier as it would only require the searcher to bring with them a valid government-issued identification card and money for the required fee of fifteen dollars. The other method, asking through mail, would require the searcher to first download the relevant form and fill up the same. It is important to note that the application form would have to be notarized if the applicant would want a certified copy, otherwise, there is no need for the same. It is also required that the searcher should include a money order to correspond to the required fee of fifteen dollars which is the same regardless of the method chosen by the searcher. Once complete, the application form and all requirements should be sent to the office of the recorder for processing.
Other sources of State of California Marriage Records would be state-level sources like the California Department of Public Health. This department has records of marriage certificates from all around the state, so if there is no record in the county office, there might be a record here. The procedure starts with the searcher first downloading the relevant form from the website of the department. Note that the forms are different for a request for certified copy and a request for informational copy. Nevertheless, a form for a certified copy would still require that the same be notarized and sworn to. Once the form had been accomplished, the searcher should next attach a money order to the same to correspond to the required fifteen dollar fee. This done, the final step would be to send the application form and all requirements to the department for processing.
It is also possible to search for marriage records online through the use of online databases. Faster and more efficient, these online databases are rather easy to locate and even easier to use as it would only require the user minimum knowledge of how to use search engines. Most of these databases do not even charge anything for the use of their services, despite the fact that most of them are privately owned. They do provide the same information as the government despite the fact that they are mostly privately owned.
